Why has there been no action against BN’s Skuad Gempur?

SHAH ALAM, 3 Sept: BN’s Skuad Gempur which has featured inappropriate action during election nomination should be taken action against by the authorities before they take action against the PAS Charity Department.

The PAS Youth Chief, Suhaizan Kayat, said that he is wondering why the PAS Charity Department has become the target of certain quarters against to a point where some want to arrest their members.

“After 20 years now they want to bring up issues related to Amal. Similarly with the PPS which was established by the government elected by the people.

“It is clear that there are many other squads that may also be deemed to be under politics or the state government, but it has never been brought up.

“I do not understand as there seems to be double standards here,” said the former candidate for the Parliament of Simpang Renggam.

Speaking to Selangor Kini, Suhaizan explained that the Charity Department was established 20 years ago, and it is one of the branches of membership under PAS and the Malaysian PAS Youth.

This team was founded with the concept of ‘Charity for Allah’ and aims to serve at programmes organised by the party, as well as to collaborate with government agencies and the police.

“We create partnerships with government agencies, including the police, to control traffic at several activities organised by the party.

“There can be double standards for BN but not Pakatan,” he added.

Prior to this, the Home Affairs Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said that he is confident that there will be action taken against the PAS Unit Amal, just like what happened to 156 members of the Penang Volunteer Patrol Team (PPS).

PPS members were arrested by the police after participating in the Independence Day parade organised by the Penang Government on August 31.
