Visual Art Expo features international creative talent

SERI KEMBANGAN, 23 Aug: The existing talent in the creative industry both locally and internationally gathered through the organisation of the International Visual Expo 2015.

The Exco for Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, said that it is to show the abilities of participants in the industry and to become a platform to present their ideas internationally.

He said that the Selangor government gives full support to the programme and hopes that existing talent can be expanded as much of the creative industry is based in Selangor.

“We see this as an enormous potential, much recognition from large international companies and we hope that it can be developed, especially among the young people.

“In fact, many universities in Selangor have creative fields that can be used as a medium to hone new talent,” he said during the visit to the expo at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre today.

The three-day expo targets audiences consisting of school leavers, graduates and entrepreneurs to show their talents and portfolios.

This includes animation, comics, video games and music.
