Two areas record very unhealthy API

SHAH ALAM, 17 Sept: The weather conditions continue to be worrisome when two areas recorded very unhealthy API readings almost reaching 200 and 12 other areas recorded unhealthy readings as of 10 this morning.

According to the Department of Environment, the two highest readings were recorded in Sarawak, Kuching (209) and Samarahan (207).

Meanwhile, the haze in several other areas recorded unhealthy API readings. These places are Kapit (135), Sarikei (111), Sibu (105), Sri Aman (129), Banting (114), Shah Alam (105) and Putrajaya (105).

However, Malacca and Negeri Sembilan became the latest areas recording unhealthy API readings; Malacca City (120), Bukit Rambai (124), Nilai (107), Port Dickson (109) and Seremban (114).

In addition, 24 other areas recorded moderate readings and 12 other areas recorded healthy readings.

API readings between 0 to 50 is good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and 300 and above (hazardous).
