SHAH ALAM, 16 June: About 200 Joint Management Bodies (JMB) and Management Corporations (MC) participated in the Stratified Building Management Seminar at the Banquet Hall, Wisma MBSA today.
The Shah Alam Mayor, Datuk Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad, said that it aims to provide clearer information to the apartment management body about the rules and responsibilities on maintenance.
“They were also briefed in dealing with property owners who fail to pay maintenance charges, the need to establish JMBs and waste collection management in stratified areas,” he said.
He said that the seminar was to provide information regarding local authorities responsible for regulating them in stratified building management.
“MBSA wants JMBs and MCs to know that we are also involved in solving problems and will take action against those who do not abide by the rules established,” he said.
