MBSA enforces car towing operation

SHAH ALAM, 16 Oct: The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) will enforce car towing operations around Shah Alam, especially around Plaza Alam Sentral, the city centre, Kota Kemuning and Sungai Buloh.

The Corporate and Public Relations Chief, Shahrin Ahmad, said that the operation is to educate the public to park their respective vehicles at the provided car park.

“It can also ensure that road are not congested, thus interrupting the traffic flow due to vehicles parked at the shoulder of the road.

“This operation is also in response to public complaints received by MBSA against vehicles that are parked at the shoulder of the road, especially around Plaza Alam Sentral and the city centre,” he said in a statement.

Shahrin said the compound and towing charge of RM270 will be imposed on ordinary vehicles that are towed, while RM350 will be charged for four-wheel drive vehicles.

Owners of towed vehicles can claim their vehicles according to area such as the MBSA Towing Depot, Section 17, the MBSA Kota Kemuning Branch Office, Section 31, and the MBSA Sungai Buloh Branch Office Towing Depot in Section U20.
