SHAH ALAM, 6 Feb: The Notice of Correction (NTC) and cutting of payments have been imposed on garbage collection contractors that are delinquent in the area of Paya Jaras.
The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Deputy Corporate Director, Shahrin Ahmad, said that they, through the Sungai Buloh branch office, are now seriously monitoring the performance of contractors involved.
“MBSA always takes matters regarding this issue seriously, especially if there are contractors that fail to make collection according to the stipulated schedule.
“If the contractors still fail, we will not hesitate to terminate the collection contract,” he told Selangor Kini.
He was responding to complaints about contractors not consistently collection garbage in the area of Kampung Kubu Gajah and its surrounding areas.
This has caused domestic waste to pile up, causing leas pleasant views and it is also feared that it would invite various diseases.
