KLANG, 30 June: After 48 hours, the suspect in the burglary case at the Kapar Member of Parliament, G.Manivannan’s office, was successfully recorded by the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera.
During a press conference, he said that he acquired the 40-minute recording from the owner of a business premises located near his office at Jalan Klang Sentral.
He said that an Indian man was seen clearly using a key to open the gate blow before entering his office on the second floor, through the recording.
“They key used is a type that is easy to obtain, he tried two types of keys and the second time, only the office door at the second floor was broken into.
“However, I do not feel that he has a motive and probably someone sent his to do this job,” he said.
On June 27, Manivannan lodged a police report at the Meru Police Station after his office was broken into early that morning, but no goods or documents were missing.
Looking at the CCTV recording, the man approached the sidewalk under the office at 6.11am, before successfully entering the gate at 6.13am.
After nearly half an hour, the suspect was seen leaving at 6.38am and left.
Commenting on further action, Manivannan said that he will lodge another police report and submit the CCTV footage evidence to the police this evening.
“I hope that the police will do what is necessary. To me, the face is quite clear and this will facilitate the police in making an arrest.
“I will also spread and paste the face of the suspect in my parliamentary area to allow the public to assist,” he said.
