UNISEL focuses on creating human capital with quality

SHAH ALAM, OCT 11: The University of Selangor (UNISEL) is actively implementing various long-term initiatives to produce graduates with quality.

Corporate Communications Director Hasril Abu Hassan said that UNISEL graduates are not limited to only academic teachings.

He said the State-owned university also encourages its graduates to participate in sports and social development.

“UNISEL employees are actively involved in academic development to produce human capital with quality in various field, including sports.

“Sports is also an important aspect with involvement of graduates and community around the campus in Bestari Jaya in particular,” he said.

He was speaking in conjunction with the aerobic-exercise activity organised for UNISEL and residents of Kampung Bestari Jaya, at the UNISEL campus Sports Complex, last October 8.

Also present were Profesor Dr Shaharuddin Badaruddin; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Amidi Abdul Manan; Student Affairs Dean, Dr Mohd Norazwan A.Bakar Sports Centre Director, Sapaki Ahmad Sayuti.

Meanwhile, such programmes are organised to support the formation of Wawasan 2020 which calls for Malaysia to be a Sporting Country.

“Various interesting events were held such as aerobics, zumba and lucky-draws.

“All the participants were satisfied especially the students as they enjoyed the recreation plus they managed to get a good work-out and relieve their stress after long study hours,” said Hasril.
