SHAH ALAM, 27 June: PKR proposed for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to immediately conduct an investigation on the issue of the building purchase involving MARA Incorporated Sdn Bhd in Melbourne, Australia.
The Sungai Petani MP, Datuk Johari Abdul, said that this is because there is sufficient evidence for the action.
“There is no need to wait any longer. No need for the establishment of an inquiry commission and so on.
“The Australian government has shown all evidence and facts in this issue,” he told Selangor Kini.
Johari said that delayed action on the matter may raise questions by the public on the integrity of the body.
He said that the statement by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, that the government is transparent and willing to cooperate in the investigation is also considered as being repeated, just like the previous issue.
“This transparency has many times been heard but has investigation been carried out?
“Therefore, there is no need to delay,” he said.
