BANGI, 9 June: The Director of the ‘Anda Dihati Kami-Sumbangan Kepada Yang Memerlukan’ (You Are In Our Hearts-Contribution To Those In Need) programme, Rosdi Lokman, said that they have set a target of visiting 32 houses each week.
He said that the welfare visitation programme will be carried out during the weekend, with two sessions, morning and evening.
“Most of the people we visit are senior citizens, the disabled, the chronically ill and the needy who are in need of help,” he said after finishing a visit to Rumah Penyayang Hani, Bangi Villa, Pekan Bangi Lama.
This was done following registration under the Merakyatkan Ekonomi Selangor (MES) programme, the Selangor Social Welfare Department and the Selangor Zakat Board, and will be carried out by volunteers from 18 established Local Community Service Centres (PKMS).
As of now, a total of 13 series have been successfully carried out, involving cooperation from the Bangi Assemblyman’s Service Centre Welfare Committee, the Serdang PAS Muslim Sisters Council, the Malaysian AMAL Unit, PKMS and local community leaders.
