SELCAT: CM Never Signed Letter to Terminate Azmin

SHAH ALAM, 25 Mar: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, informed that he never signed any letter saying that the Assemblyman for Bukit Antarabangsa, Azmin Ali, has been dropped from the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) Board of Directors.

He confirmed that he only received the letter of appointment for Datuk Teng Chang Khim as a new Board member and agreed to sign it.

“I was not informed at all about the termination letter and I never saw it.

“I was just informed about the appointment of Chang Khim as the new Board member and agreed,” he said at the Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency (SELCAT) meeting at the Annex Hall today.

At the same time, Abdul Khalid also expects the investigation on Azmin’s position to complete in two months since the case came up in January.

He said that the investigation will be handed over entirely to the State Government Secretary (SUK), Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi, to be assessed and to set any decision regarding the matter.

“I do not have the same power to speed up the investigation because I am not allowed to get involved.

“We have to leave it to those responsible, I have to power to say that this matter needs to be settled immediately,” he said.
