Selangor PAS Excos perform duties as normal under Abdul Khalid’s leadership

SHAH ALAM, 11 Aug: Four Selangor PAS Executive Council members will continue to carry out their duties as normal under the administration of the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that PAS Secretary-General, Datuk Mustafa Ali.

Mustafa said that this is because the State Government still exists and functions as normal before waiting for the latest announcement from Central PAS.

“The government still exists, so they need to carry out their duties as normal until there is a new decision,” he said, quoted from Harakah Daily.

He said this when commenting on the stance of all PAS Exco members after the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Disciplinary Board sacked Abdul Khalid on August 9.

PAS has four Excos in the Selangor government; the Chairman for Housing Management and Urban Settlers, Iskandar Samad (Chempaka Assemblyman); the Chairman for Islamic Affairs, Agricultural Modernisation and Rural Development, Sallehen Mykhyi (Sabak Assemblyman); the Chairman for Education, Higher Learning and Human Capital Development, Dr Halimah Ali (Selat Klang Assemblywoman) and the Chairman for Youth and Sports, Infrastructure and Public Amenities, Dr Ahmad Yunus (Sijangkang Assemblyman).

Meanwhile, Mustafa reminded party leaders at all levels, members and supporters to remain calm in facing this political crisis which has hit Selangor.

He said that PAS is still with Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and is dealing with the crisis with prudence, care and wisdom with other PR leaders.
