KUALA SELANGOR, July 22: The success of the Inpens International College (INPENS) of being able to complete a surau which was supposed to be worth RM 500,000 to RM 370,000 should be praised by all parties.
Exco for Youth and Sports, Infrastructure and Public Utilities, Dr Yunus Hairi said that Inpens saved RM130,000 in costs by giving an opportunity to students of Electrical and Air Conditioning courses to carry out the electrical wiring and air conditioning works.
He said, this way, the students of Inpens are exposed to a real working atmosphere which can help them once they graduate.
“Inpens has become a platform for the young people in Selangor to enrich themselves with skill prior to employment.
“It is hoped that the youths in Selangor would have high skills to be successful in their career,” he said.
Dr Yunus said this when speaking at the Inpens Surau (As-Salam) Construction Iftar and Thanksgiving Ceremony recently.
Also present was the Kota Anggerik Assemblyman, Dr Yaakob Sapari and the President of Inpens, Datuk Dr Md. Mydin Md. Sheriff.
The surau which can accommodate a congregation of 500 will provide convenience to staff and students at Inpens to carry out religious rituals and activities comfortably.
