BN Acts Like a Hero, Prevents State Government’s Efforts to Help the Poor

SHAH ALAM, 16 Apr: The leaders of Barisan Nasional (BN) have tried to cloud the eyes of the people of Selangor and act like warriors that fight for the people’s rights.

The Assemblyman for Sekinchan, Ng Suee Lim, said that the reality is that BN is only fighting for their personal gain and political interests.

“This has been happening for 40 years. Let us not forget that the former deputy Chief Minister was in charge of Sungai Panjang, but why was this issue not solved.

“This is because BN’s solution is political interest, not solve the land problem for the long term in the interest of the people.

“When the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Government tries to solve it professionally, they try to be heroes and warriors, supposedly fighting for the poor,” said Suee Lim at the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) today.

Suee Lim said this in response to the allegations of the Sungai Panjang Assemblyman, Budiman Mohd Zohdi, that the State Government took over the land that was explored by residents over 40 years ago.

He said that the State Government should act to ensure that the idle land is given to the poor who are able to undertake agricultural projects.

He said that this move can help the poor who are interested in agricultural activities to increase their source of income, thus coming out of the clutches of poverty.

“Otherwise, we keep giving donated money and not help them. The best way is to teach them to be self-reliant.

“Giving money is just for a brief moment and then it is gone,” he said.
