SHAH ALAM, 1 Aug: Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is the Chief Minister to all Selangorians, regardless of political ideology, despite him being a member of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).
The Selangor PAS Secretary, Mohd Khairuddin Othman, said that DAP and PAS are also part of the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Government in Selangor.
“Abdul Khalid is a PKR member, but the Chief Minister to all parties and all the people. PAS is part of the government and the other part is PKR and DAP.
“It has just been a year since we appointed the Chief Minister after the 13th General Election (GE13). Give Abdul Khalid a chance to improve the situation and we will help,” he said when contacted by Selangor Kini today.
He said that the consent of all parties in PR and the opinion of Selangorians should be taken into account to solve the crisis of the Chief Minister’s seat, and in fact, PR’s failure to take into account the views of the people will cause major problems in the next General Election.
Apart from that, he said that the turmoil which erupted since the Kajang Move began could also cause boredom among the people and disrupt the smooth running of the state administration.
“The people will get bored if welfare does not reach them and they will feel neglected. At that time, the people may shift (sides),” he said.
