SHAH ALAM, 19 Sept: Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor’s refusal to testify at the People’s Tribunal has resulted in the Umno Secretary General missing his opportunity to ‘prove irregularities’ of Bersih 2.0.
“That’s his choice. We think that he has missed an opportunity to explain (the matter) because the People’s Tribunal is not for one party for because Bersih is full of themselves.
“We want to know if any fraud happened in the GE-13, why it happened and (why) the Election Commission (EC) did not take action,” said the Bersih Secretariat, Maria Chin Abdullah.
She was commenting a statement by Tengku Adnan, who refused to attend on grounds that the body was not ‘beraih’ (clean) by claiming that Bersih sent illegal immigrants who disguised as citizens to vote in the Putrajaya Parliament.
Maria said that the act of the Putrajaya Member of Parliament is a disadvantage because the tribunal is not only for one party, but is opened to all.
She said that Bersih has sent letters to Tengku Adnan twice to give him space to ‘expose’ election fraud.
