SHAH ALAM, 12 June: The Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) has been asked to cooperate with professionals to create a mosque institution index in the state.
The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that it is to assess the performance and effectiveness of the mosque institution in carrying out functions and services to Muslims.
“Muslims need to collect the achievements of religious institutions performances scientifically to create healthy competition by creating an index that covers various aspects.
“It allows Muslims to look at the performance and effectiveness of the institution in carrying out its functions as well as the delivery service that is a shared responsibility,” he said.
He said this at the Mosque Officers and Committee Conference and the Selangor Mosque and Surau Moreh Assistance Presentation at the State Mosque today.
The index covers scientific activities, the effectiveness of the dissemination of knowledge, cleanliness aspect, congregation and visitor friendly, ecological use that is environmentally friendly, as well as missions in social media.
