SHAH ALAM, 18 Feb: Today, Pakatan Rakyat (PR) urged the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to immediately approve the coalition’s registration before the PR Convention starts on 8 March.
According to the PAS Secretary-General, Datuk Mustafa Ali, the coalition’s registration application was made since three years ago, but has yet to be approved by RoS till today.
Meanwhile, the PKR Secretary-General, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, also informed that PR has also followed-up on the registration status last month.
“We urge the RoS to immediately approve the registration for the coalition before the convention. It needs to be done.
“I fact, we have seen RoS approve new parties previously, but why have they not done so for this coalition,” said Saifuddin in a press statement in Kuala Lumpur, quoted from The Malaysian Insider.
The press conference was also attended by the DAP Organising Secretary, Anthony Loke.
Previously, the 5th PR Convention Executive Committee Director, Iskandar Abdul Samad, informed that PR will host its 5th annual convention in Selangor.
The convention themed ‘Pakatan Defends the People’ will be held on 8 March, from 8.00am to 4.00pm.
