SELCAT Conducts Public Hearing for PKNS Issue from 25-26 March

SHAH ALAM, 20 Feb: The Selangor State development Corporation (PKNS) issue in relation to the contract termination of PKNS staff will be heard publicly in the Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency (SELCAT) form 25-26 March.

The Chairman of SELCAT, Hannah Yeoh, said that the committee will call on two witnesses comprising of the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, and the Bukit Antarabangsa Assemblyman, Azmin Ali.

She said that the matter has been brought to the SELCAT to resolve previous pending matters and related matters.

“We will evaluate it from all sides because prior to this we have heard different versions of this issue,” she said in a press conference here at the Annex Building.

Hannah said that SELCAT needs time to obtain several documents.

She said that SELCAT also needs a month to review a number of documents to be heard publicly.

Prior to this, a total of 22 PKNS staff were terminated of their contracts, causing Abdul Khalid and Azmin Ali to reply on statements regarding the issue.
