PETALING JAYA, 16 Apr: The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, slammed the action by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, and the Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, for still not wanting to answer fundamental questions regarding the disappearance of the MH370 aircraft.
He stressed that this not only involved the loss of MH370, but will also have an impact on national security of they are still unable to answer these questions.
“If it cannot be detected and now the Minister of Defence wants to buy a new one, what is the problem with the Marconi Radar? With the purchase of new equipment, all these problems will be solved?
“If you follow the SOP, if we can detect it through sophisticated equipment, the red light will flash and within three minutes, it will be relayed to the nearby RMAF space. Naval ships will leave to escort it from the air space and this did not happen.
“Umno-BN leaders are too busy with projects and commissions for their wealth, until they forgot that the national security is threatened for negligence,” he said in a press conference today.
