SHAH ALAM, 16 May: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that his experience as a Mathematics teacher enables him to understand the ups and downs of life and the tough life of a teacher.
In the Teacher’s Day 2014 Message, he said that the service of teachers is something tremendous in the development of a country.
“From the hands of teachers come generation after generation that continue to shape the nature and state of civilization of a country,” said Abdul Khalid.
He said that if the generation raised is countable, then the country’s future is promising, if otherwise, the civilization of the country will be dim in later days.
“The sacrifice of this group of people is countless. Struggling with the task of educating children of various characters; the fact is not all people in this world can afford to take on such a huge responsibility.
“Patience in shaping the intellect, physical and spirit of children has raised the prestige of teachers to a level of nobleness and is highly regarded,” said Abdul Khalid.
