SHAH ALAM, SEP 1: Kayuhan Hari Malaysia MPSJ-KPMC Puchong 2016 is back for its sixth year this September 3.

Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) Corporate Communications Officer Muhammad Azli Miswan said the programme aims to instill a healthy lifestyle in the local community.

He also said that this is one of the many efforts by MPSJ to realise its mission to ‘Make MPSJ Municipality Peaceful, Smart and Dynamic’.

“The programme is a platform for the community to meet and mingle with each other through a cycling activity in groups and as a family.

“Besides cycling, we also include free health-check programmes, blood donation drives, sale of cycling items and lucky draws with many interesting prizes,” he said in a statement.

First implemented in 2011, the programme is expected to attract more than 300 cyclists, with a distance of 18 kilometres of hilly track.

The programme is scheduled to start at 7.30 am at KPMC Puchong Specialist Centre in Jalan Puteri 2/1, Bandar Puteri Puchong.

Azli said that participants must use bicycles equipped with safety features.

“In addition to ensuring the brakes are in good condition, participants must also wear helmets and are encouraged to use mountain bikes,” he said.
