SHAH ALAM, AUG 30: The Skim Peduli Sihat programme has received tremendous response from Selangor citizens following the effective and convenient treatments that it provides.
Many participants who joined the programme which was introduced by the State Government since early this year were satisfied with the services provided through 1,000 clinics in Selangor under the programme.
Eligible Selangor residents are advised to take advantage of the programme as the State Government has allocated RM125 million for it, aiming to benefit one million people.
One participant, Pak Pen Firdaus, expressed his satisfaction through his Facebook page, describing the convenience in receiving treatment in a clinic as compared to his previous experience.
“Previously I had to wait almost three to four hours to see the doctor and receive treatment, however today, I went to a Peduli Sihat Panel Clinic and received treatment in less than five minutes.
“It took me a total of ten minutes to complete everything before I step out of the clinic. What made my day was the fact that I did not have to pay for anything, as my RM50 bill was already paid through the Peduli Sihat Card,” he wrote, and encouraged other eligible citizens to use the facility.
The Peduli Sihat Scheme is a basic protection plan to reduce cost of living for the B40 group who earns between RM1,500 to RM3,000 a month.
It is divided into two categories which are family and individual, where the family card gets a RM500 coverage per Peduli Sihat card, with condition that they are Selangor citizens or have resided in Selangor for 10 years and earning below RM3,000.
Individual category on the other hand, is for those above 21 years old and earning RM1,500 and below, with the same conditions as above, and eligible for RM200 coverage per year.
