SEREMBAN, 8 Aug: The differences of political views in Pakatan Rakyat (Pakatan) is no reason to split because it provides an opportunity to the enemy to weaken the coalition.
The PKR President, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, said that what is more important if to unite to overthrow the Umno-Barisan Nasional (BN) regime.
“Like the story of the lion that managed to overpower a buffalo after they were fighting among themselves.
“When the buffalo is in a group, the loin only looks and swallows saliva.
“That is what is called untied we stand, divided we fall,” she said at the President’s Trust Tour yesterday evening.
The event at One Garden Hotel was also attended by the PKR Vice President, Dr Xavier Jayakumar, the PKR Women’s Chief, Zuraida Kamaruddin, the Central Leadership Council (MPP) and branch representatives from Negeri Sembilan.
At the same time, Dr Wan Azizah also reminded all on the importance of teamwork to achieve the objective of defending the people.
“There is no need to know down each other because differences do exist.
“Like the Selangor Chief Minister crisis previously, we gave it a healing process.
“The most important thing is working for the people,” he said.
