Do not be slack about child safety

SHAH ALAM, 4 Apr: Parents are reminded to not be slack about child safety.

The Exco for Health, Welfare, Women’s Affairs and Family, Dr Daroyah Alwi, said that a slack attitude could lead to negligence which might take lives like what happened at the Kenaga Complex Wholesale City yesterday.

“Prior to this, we feared that our children may be lost due to being kidnapped, but this time, a life was lost because the parent was busy messaging.

“To parents, be more concerned about your child because children are more important, so we have to take it more seriously,” said Dr Daroyah when contacted by Selangor Kini.

Dr Daroyah also advised the public, including security guards at shopping complexes at any building, to always be vigilant about the behaviour of children.

“Set aside the attitude of doing your own things and practice concern at all times,” she added.

Yesterday, the video recording of a six-year-old girl, Nurhayada Sofia Musa, who fell from the second floor become viral on social media sites.
