20 years of waiting, 179 factory owners received premises ownership

SUBANG JAYA, 5 Feb: The 20-year wait for 179 factory owners at the Subang Industrial Park bore fruit when they received their individual land titles today.

Subang Jaya Assemblyman, Hannah Yeoh, said that the first time the state government acted involved Section 97 and Section 76 under the National Land Code to be given directly to the owners and not to the developer.

“It is unique because prior to this the land office would give it to the developer, and only then it will be transferred to the owners.

“But this time, it is directly from the land office to the owner and it saves money because there is no need to pay legal fees and other costs.

“They just have to pay a premium of RM1,000,” she said.

The event that was held at the SS15 Multipurpose Hall was also attended by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) Yang DiPertua, Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, and the Director of Ultramine Sdn Bhd, Ariffin Osman.

At the same time, Hannah reminded about 170 other owners to submit their applications as it will expire this March.

“I hope that you can help convince your other friends that the efforts this time is serious and not just nonsense, like they experienced before,” she said.
