SHAH ALAM, 21 Nov: The former Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, should provide a transparent and honest explanation regarding the compensation to eight employees of Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) worth RM2.6 million.
The Hulu Selangor Braanch PKR member, Megat Khairul Anuar Razali, said that this was entered into the employment contract, therefore Abdul Khalid should explain how this contract was made.
“A SELCAT public hearing should be conducted as soon as possible to avoid this matter from being further manipulated in the media and also social networking sites.
“Truth must be upheld regardless of who the person is,” said Megat Khairul in a media statement.
He said that the question is regarding the rationale of Abdul Khalid’s administration approving the payment of compensation as high as RM2.6 million.
“We cannot compromise and tolerate any wastage from any party,” he said.
