Abdul Khalid managed to answer questions raised by the PR leadership

SHAH ALAM, 6 Sept: The Chief Minister of Selangor, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, managed to answer all questions raised by the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Leadership Council without incurring any doubts regarding the problems linking him with the administration of the state.

This was revealed by the PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, during the Dialogue and Clarification of Current Issued with the PAS President at the Tok Guru Rusila Hall yesterday evening.

Abdul Hadi said that all concerns and questions brought up by the PR leadership was answered by Abdul Khalid well until there was no argument for any party that questioned him to reply.

“When Abdul Khalid was accused, we decided that he would be brought before the PR Council panel consisting of me, Datuk Mustafa Ali and Salahuddin Ayub, PKR (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution and Rafizi Ramli) and for DAP, Lim Kit Siang, Tony Pua and Anthony Loke.

“Facing Abdul Khalid, he successfully submitted questions and answered the questions until there was no argument from those questioning him. Everyone present agreed with his answers and agreed to help him solve the problems in Selangor,” he said.

Commenting on the issue of vacating the Kajang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seat in January, Abdul Hadi admitted that he was surprised because he was not consulted on the matter.

He said that PAS did not agree with the move because they assumed that it would burden the people who just went through the 13th General Election in May last year.

“We were surprised when the Kajang seat was vacated as it was a seat that was won where the Assemblyman was requested to resign.

“There was no meeting among the PR leadership. Suddenly PAS was informed on this matter and we did not agree because this is not the way.

“The GE had just finished. The people had just voted and now an election was held again. This is not right,” he said.
