Some civil servants met by Selangor Kini expressed their willingness to cooperate under the administration of the new Chief Minister after six years being under the leadership of Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

A civil servant, Kahlim Ibrahim, 62, said that he feels pleased with the selection of the new Chief Minister and hopes that Azmin will run the state administration well and smoothly.

He said that everyone should not make comparisons with the last administration, but instead should remain committed in carrying out their respective duties.

“As a civil servant, we accept whoever is the Chief Minister and we will work as usual.

“It does not matter who was appointed,” he said.

The same opinion was shared by Kamal Ghazali, 48, who hopes that the state government administration under Azmin’s leadership will improve and make a difference for the sake of civil servants.

“We hope that he will bring a breath of fresh air to the interests of the state and civil servants,” said Kamal who has worked for over 25 years in the government sector.

She also believes that Azmin is able to offer the best services and take care of the welfare of the people of Selangor as promised by Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

“Anyone who is the Chief Minister would have to provide the best services to the people. So, it is up to him (Azmin) to implement it.

“We receive and welcome his as the Chief Minister,” he said.

Today, Azmin officially began his duties as the new Chief Minister of Selangor after being sworn in as the top leader of the state at Istana Alam Shah, Klang.
