CM: “Thank you for making the reform agenda a success”

SHAH ALAM, 25 Aug: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, thanked government officials who were with him in the effort to make all reform agendas in Selangor a success.

Abdul Khalid advised the employees of Selangor to continue to enhance productivity and to carry out assignments given as best possible.

“I want all the employees under the banner of the Selangor State Government to always work hard to improve the level of productivity in their respective fields in order to continue the assignments given as best possible,” he added.

Abdul Khalid said that he received the latest status of the Selangor Chief Minister’s post, which is held by him, with an open heart as he no longer has the majority support from the Selangor Assemblymen.

Speaking at the Selangor Government Department Monthly Assembly today, he said that he will apply to go before the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, to provide advice on the next step.

The meeting will be held tomorrow at 2.30 pm, however the location of the meeting has yet to be determined and will be announced soon.

“However, I hope that all government employees will continue to work with me to continue the Selangor state administration with the four members of the State Executive Council to ensure that the people are not affected by this political crisis,” he said.

Abdul Khalid, who is now an Independent Assemblyman for Port Klang, was sacked from PKR as a lifetime member, effective August 9.
