SHAH ALAM, 16 July: All elected representatives in Selangor have been called to respect the royal institution before issuing any statement.
The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that their ideas and suggestions need to go through the proper channels so that it can be implemented.
“In Malaysia’s scenario, because we have a monarchical system, we must take into account this matter,” said Abdul Khalid.
Abdul Khalid said this at a press conference after chairing the Executive Council meeting at the Selangor State Government Secretary’s Building here in Shah Alam.
Yesterday, the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, warned the Shah Alam Member of Parliament, Khalid Samad, on the jurisdiction of the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS).
