PKNS to host Third Integrity Conference on August 19

SHAH ALAM, 16 July: The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) will host the 3rd Annual International Integrity Conference Corporate Integrity Pledge – From Commitment to Compliance on August 19 in front of the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC).

The Public Relations Manager, Ishak Hashim, said that the conference, with the theme of Corporate Integrity Pledge, will outline principles that should be adopted by government agencies, corporate companies and private companies to show their commitment towards creating a business environment that is fair, transparent and corruption free.

“The annual event will feature prominent speakers from within and outside the country, including the Director of the National Key Result Areas (NKRA) Corruption, Datuk Hisham Nordin; the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Siemens Malaysia, Prakash Chandran and others,” he said.

The conference will also be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

Ishak added that PKNS is targeting for a total of 400 participants to attend the conference.

The participation fee is RM350 for civil servants, while for the private sector, it is RM500 per person.

Earlier, PKNS emerged as the first State Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) to implement the Corporate Integrity System (CIS) and then sign the Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) on November 14, 2012.

It was then followed by four of its subsidiary companies; the Selangor Industrial Corporation (SIC), PKNS Infra Berhad (PIB), Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) and PKNS Holdings Sdn Berhad (PHSB) on December 17, 2013, while Selaman Sdn Bhd, PKNS Engineering and Construction Berhad (PECB) and Datumcorp International (DCI) signed it on May 14.
