Kajang By-Election: AMK Creates Special Social Media Monitoring Team to Approach the Young People

SHAH ALAM, 3 Feb: The Keadilan Youth (AMK) has set up a special team to monitor social media sites in conjunction with the Kajang by-election to explain to the young the reason why the by-election is needed.

Its leader, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, said that AMK aims to reach out to the young people in Kajang to ensure PKR victory in the by-election.

He said that AMK has received positive response from the young people after the monitoring team was set up.

“We have established the monitoring team to provide clarification about issues that have been raised and we are trying to reach out to this group,” said Shamsul, quoted from FMT News.

Shamsul said that PKR will start their work in Kajang before the candidate nomination session.

Meanwhile, he also expressed his gratitude to colleagues in PAS Youth and DAP, who have alo released statements expressing that they will help PKR in Kajang.

“This shows that the three parties have no problem in working together to accomplish the mission,” he said.

The Kajang State Legislative Assembly seat was vacant after the incumbent, Lee Chin Cheh, resigned from PKR, releasing his position on 27 January.

In the 13th General Election (GE13), PKR won the seat with a majority of 6,824 seats in a six-cornered clash.

The results in the Kajang by-election will not have any effect on the Selangor State Legislative Assembly as Pakatan Rakyat won 44 seats from the total 56 seats.
