A Meaningful Visit, Met the Selangor Chief Minister

SHAH ALAM, 25 Feb: Despite being short, it was very meaningful!

This is the most appropriate phrase to describe the feelings of the Penang State Government Information Division delegation when they met the Chief Minister of Selangor, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, at a three day two night working visit recently.

During the almost one hour meeting at Abdul Khalid’s office, the state delegates had the opportunity to mingle and share a briefing on new schemes in order to uphold the people of Selangor.

The delegation, led by the State Government Information Officer, Rosdi Hussain, said that the opportunity to meet with the Selangor Chief Minister (Abdul Khalid) was used as best possible.

“Tan Sri (Abdul Khalid) cheerfully greeted us.

“In fact, he also told us about the Selangor people’s acceptance of changes that have been and are being implemented by the Selangor State Government,” he told Buletin Mutiara recently.

Apart from officers from the State Government Information Division, 10 Penang State Legislative Assembly Area Coordination Officers also participated in the visit.

The working visit was planned to share experience and explore developments in the Selangor State Government administration as a whole, especially in 15 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) in the state.

In addition to meeting and holding discussions with the Executive Councillor in charge of Islamic Affairs, Agricultural Modernisation and Rural Development, Sallehen Mukhyi, the delegation also had the opportunity to listen to a briefing from the Executive Councillor in charge of the Selangor State Education, Higher Learning and Human Capital Development, Noor Hanim Ismail, who is also the Assemblyman for Seri Serdang and Datuk Hajah Latifah Hassan (Senior Secretary to the Education Executive Councillor.

In fact, the delegation also spent time at the TVSelangor (TVS) Corporate Office and at Selangor Kini Communication Corporation Sdn Bhd (Media Selangor) here in Section 13.

Also listed were visits to small and medium enterprises (SME) sites in the Kuala Langat district nearby.
