Young Assemblymen return to debate at the DNS on May 27 & 28

SHAH ALAM, 15 Apr: The Selangor State Legislative Assembly (DNS) Speaker’s Office will organise the Selangor Young Assemblymen programme in cooperation with the Standing Committee on Young Generation Development & Sports and the Standing Committee on Education.

The two day programme will be held at the Annex Building near here on May 27 and 28.

A total of 56 young people will be selected to join the programme, representing each constituency in the Assembly.

The programme aims to provide political exposure at the early stage to the young people who will potentially become lawmakers, either at the local or national level.

The conference will be chaired by Hannah Yeoh (Speaker) and Mohd Shafie bin Ngah (Deputy Speaker).

The programme is open to all students aged 18 to 24 from public or private institutions of higher learning, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and local youth movements (PeBT), as well as student associations.

Those interested can apply online at dewan.selangor.gov.my before May 1 and the results will be announced on the site on May 14.
