PJ one-way road project to be completed in 18 months

PETALING JAYA, 29 Apr: The one-way road project in some areas of the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is going on smoothly and is expected to be fully completed in 18 months.

The MBPJ Mayor, Mohd Azizi Mohd Zaid, said that he will ensure that the project is carried out according to schedule and to monitor it every two weeks.

“If the contractor carries it out according to schedule, we can shorten the completion period. If there are too many issues that arise, it will be completed a little later.

Mohd Azizi said that MBPJ has also distributed leaflets to the public to get their views as soon as this project is fully completed.

Meanwhile, when commenting on the installation of traffic lights at the Othman Roundabout at Jalan Templer, he said that it will be ready on May 25.

“We will complete this project before the month of Ramadan and I will personally ask the contractor to implement it immediately,” he added.

The second phase of the one-way road project will begin from July to November, involving Jalan Barat, certain parts of Persiaran Barat, half of Jalan Utara, and the remainder of Jalan Sultan.
