MBPJ provides bulk rubbish disposal

PETALING, 4 June: The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) held the Spring Cleaning campaign in all neighbourhoods under its supervision starting June 6 to dispose bulk rubbish in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

The Public Relations Unit (MBPJ) said that the month-long campaign, which will end on July 5, will provide the Roll On Roll Off (RORO) bins at 24 locations.

“This campaign receives Bulk Waste such as furniture, electrical appliances and household goods only.

“MBPJ places two trash bins with a capacity of three tonnes each at one location, time and date set,” said the Department of Solid Waste Management and MBPJ Public Cleaning in a statement.

The department also welcomes the involvement of residents and related organisations for the success of the campaign.

“The service is given on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis until the truck is at full capacity.

“Residents who wish to obtain these services can contact the Council Member of the area or the Programme Secretary,” the statement said.

For further information, the public can contact the Department of Solid Waste Management and MBPJ Public Cleaning at 03-7954 1440.
