Tg Karang Jamiul Hasanah Tahfiz Institution burned, needs help

SHAH ALAM, 9 Aug: The students of the Jamiul Hasanah Tahfiz Institution in Tanjung Karang are now housed at a nearby mosque as the fire incident destroyed the main building of the school last night.

The Selangor Tithe Board (LZS) displayed it on Facebook saying that they had lent immediate assistance to the management of the school as soon as they were informed about the incident.

“LS also helped the students buy clothes as they were destroyed in the fire to continue their learning.

“Meanwhile, aid for infrastructure repair and other equipment will be processed after the documentation process is completed,” he said.

At the same time, the Social Welfare Department (JKM) in the area also provided emergency relief such as blankets, mats, pillows and personal hygiene sets.

Meanwhile, the Exco for Religious Affairs, Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, when contacted said that they are aware of the incident and expect to pay a visit to the school today.

The main building of the institution was destroyed in the fire at about 9.30 pm.

The fire destroyed about 95 percent of the building, however no one was reported injured.

It is understood that the two-storey building houses a student hostel on the top floor and the ground floor is the college.
