Eight countries compete at JIPGAC 2015

SHAH ALAM, 28 May: Eight countries will compete at the Jugra Paragliding Accuracy Championship (JIPGAC) 2015 which will take place at the Jugra Paragliding Training Centre from May 29 to 31.

The Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL) Yang Dipertua, Mohd Azhar Mohamed Ali, said that 55 participants will come from Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea and Vietnam.

“The highest number of participation is from Indonesia involving 28 participants, followed by Malaysia with 15 participants.

“This year, there was an increase of 20 participants from various countries compared to last year,” he said in a press statement.

Mohd Azhar said that participants have the opportunity to take home a cash prize of RM3,000 and a certificate for the open individual category in the championship.

“MDKL also provides the Youngest Pilot Award as a driving force and inspiration for the young people to be involved in extreme sports,” he said.
