SELAYANG, 31 May: The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) will organise the Selangor Health Carnival 2015 at Laman Beringin, Selayang Utama, on June 13.
The Yang Dipertua of MPS, Sulaiman Abd Rahman, said that the programme is being held in collaboration with the MPS Cocunillor, Chua Wei Kiat, while the opening will be executed by the Exco for Health, Welfare, Women’s Affairs and Family, Dr Daroyah Alwi.
“It aims to educate the people to adopt a healthy lifestyle by eating a balanced diet.
“They can also obtain health and dental services for free.
“In addition, it can realise public awareness about the importance of preserving the environment and carrying out exercise activities for a healthy lifestyle,” he said recently.
Sulaiman also invites all Councillors and MPS Department Directors to participate in the success of the programme in the effort to strengthen ties with the community.
“Their presence will bring together MPS employees with the public, especially surrounding residents, in addition to knowing local problems,” he said.
