For Sungai Besar, water began to enter on March 1 for the first season and September 1 for the second season.

Water began to enter Sungai Besar on April 1 for the first season and October 1 for the second season.

The harvesting period should be within 120 days from the date of planting and for the harvesting period and the schedule of water entry, it usually takes about two months.

Planting outside the period may cause delays for the second season, for example planting that should have started in July will be postponed to August.

This leads to inconsistencies in the period of water entry.

The risk for insects and pests is also higher because planting in other areas have not begun yet.

Rice harvesting outside the schedule usually is at 2.5 tonnes compared to the yield following the schedule, which is 6.14 tonnes.
