Do not feed live ammunition to BN, may cause the death of PR

SHAH ALAM, 15 July: The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leadership line-up has been urged to not ‘highlight’ contention, thus giving the ball to Barisan Nasional (BN) who is always looking for a chance to reclaim the state.

State Executive Councillor and also the Kuala Langat PAS President, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, said that since BN’s technical knockout defeat in the last general election, BN is always watching and looking for any opportunity.

He said that BN will use any chance to tarnish the image of PR, which has begun to be harmonious with the people of Selangor.

“Therefore, the leaders of Selangor PR should not try to be generous by giving weapons and live ammunition to the enemy to shoot right in the heart that it would cause a very eerie death.

“PR leaders should also remember that the people of Selangor are educated enough to punish any wrongdoings of leaders who try to meet their personal needs versus the priority of the people,” he said in a statement.

At the same time, Yunus, who is also the Assemblyman for Sijangkang, reminded all PR leaders, especially in Selangor, to not prioritise personal agendas, including the snatching of positions, which was formerly synonymous with BN.

He said that this would give a negative stigma to the people who have high expectations for PR in efforts to defend the rights of the people, which was long been denied by BN.

“Let it no be because of sedition from the enemy and personal goals cause chaos that will distort Selangor PR’s struggles over the years.

“Has it not been realised by the Selangor PR leadership that this fray of internal problems can openly invite perceptions of disgust from the people, who will equate this leadership to be the same as BN, which likes to argue on agendas of snatching positions,” he said.

“The people of Selangor have to be convinced that PR policies and agendas in prioritising the people is very clear and has not changed.

“The reins of leadership may change but the agenda to distribute the profits and returns of the State Government to the people will continue,” he said.
