Abdul Khalid: The chosen CM must be capable to administer a state

SHAH ALAM, 30 AUGUST: The individual picked as the new Chief Minister should be responsible and capable to administer the state.

Chief Minister of Selangor, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said without such abilities, an individual will not qualify to hold the position.

“Chief Minister are picked for their abilities, if they qualify, they are picked,” said Abdul Khalid.

He said so when meeting reporters after attending a Yassin prayers ceremony in conjuction with the Selangor Merdeka Day 57th times celebration yesterday, reported by Bernama.

Abdul Khalid said so when requested to comment on a media reports that said an aide close to the Sultan of Selangor informed of the requirements a s a chief minister is for the benefits of the people and to administer the state without being controlled by anyone else.

Recently, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has delayed resignation of Abdul Khalid as Chief Minister of Selangor till the appointment of a new replacement.
