Anugerah Kecemerlangan Pendidikan Yayasan Selangor honours 117 students

HULU SELANGOR, SEP 9: A total of 117 students sponsored by Yayasan Selangor have received the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Pendidikan in acknowledgement of their contribution as catalysts in academic and co-curiculum sectors.

The ceremony, held at Dewan Besar Kem Bina Semangat, Ampang Pecah on September 3, also acknowledged academic excellence at primary school (UPSR), secondary school (PT3 & SPM) as well as higher institutional levels.

The awards saw a student from Maahad Integrasi Tahfiz Selangor (MITS) Klang, Muhammad Rujhan Mohd Subari, being selected as the best student overall.

The Best Student Award for Lower-Secondary Co-curiculum in the women’s category went to Liew Qi Yi from SMK Seri Garing, while the award in the men’s category went to Muhammad Amin Saril of SMK Tinggi Klang.

Best student in the higher education level was awarded to Jasmin Munchar Elias who achieved PNGK 4.0 from University Malaya in the Bachelor of Medicine.

Meanwhile, Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation Exco Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad in his speech said that once again Yayasan Selangor was successful in continuing its excellence in producing students with quality.

“Hopefully the success and excellence do not stop here. In fact, this is the beginning of a more challenging journey.

“We hope Yayasan Selangor continues to intensify its efforts to improve performance in asset management and education operations,” he said.
