Besides the US, there are other countries that are expected to make announcements regarding financial irregularities linked the 1MDB scandal in their own countries.
The 1MDB scandal is now regarded as the biggest financial scandal in the world after the recent suit by the DOJ against individuals linked to the tainted 1MBD.
DOJ filed a civil suit to ensure the return of assets certain individuals gained through the alleged embezzlement of funds from 1MDB.
The assets include RM28 billion claimed to have been siphoned away from the company linked closely to current Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
