CM to Chegubard: “Enough of politicking” now is time to work

SHAH ALAM, 14 Dec: “Now is time for me to work for the people, enough of politicking,” this was the reaction of Chief Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali to reporters today.

Mohamed Azmin said this when asked to comment on the criticism of a PR activist, Badrul Hisham Shaharin, who has often criticised him recently.

“We have many programmes in the Selangor Budget 2015 which needs to be implemented and I do not want a good budget on paper to fail to be translated in its implementation.

“My team and I have to work hard to make sure everything planned for the people is successfully implemented. Enough of politicking, I want to move forward. Remember, the people are tired of politics like this,” he told reporters when met at the Return to School Contribution Ceremony organised by Pekawanis at the Megawati Hall today.

Prior to this, Badrul, among others, claimed that five Selangor Assemblymen withdrew their support for the PKR President, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, several days before Azmin was appointed as the Chief Minister.

On December 12, the PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, urged Badrul to stop criticism on Azmin Ali and let the Chief Minister carry out his duties.

“If there is a complaint, Badrul can refer to the disciplinary committee.

“Badrul has the right to complain, but in this case, he needs to give Azmin space to carry out his duties as the CM,” Anwar said.
