SHAH ALAM, SEP 1: More than 200 couples in the country welcomed their newborns on the sacred date of August 31, 2016.
Quoting Malay Mail Online, Selangor recorded 40 babies born August 31, the most recorded in all states, with 21 baby boys and 19 baby girls.
Nine were born in Hospital Selayang, 18 in Hospital Sungai Buloh and 13 in Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR).
At the same time, a total of 20 babies were born in Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), 12 baby boys and 8 baby girls.
In Putrajaya, 3 baby boys and 6 baby girls were born yesterday at Hospital Putrajaya.
Meanwhile, Malacca welcomed 12 ‘merdeka-babies’, Seremban (11), Pahang (19), Perlis (9), Pulau Pinang (2), Kelantan (10), Perak (9), Terengganu (34) and Sabah (29).
