MACC praises MDKL

SHAH ALAM, AUG 22: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Corporation (MACC) praised Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL) for signing its Ikrar Bebas Rasuah (IBR) recently.

MACC Selangor Director, Dato’ Wan Ramli Wan Abdullah said that shows MDKL’s strong commitment in carrying out its responsibilities honestly, transparently and free from practices that lead to graft.

He said, those includes power abuse to protect self, place of work or the organisation.

“I also salute MDKL Yang Dipertua, Mohamad Zain A Hamid who pledged not to compromise with any form non-compliance or corruption that will tarnish MDKL’s reputation.

“MDKL’s participation proves its employees’ braveness to mutually ensure that it is free from the crime of graft and power abuse,” he said as reported by MDKL Corporate and Public Relations Unit.

He said that during the Ikrar Bebas Rasuah (IBR) Signing Ceremony with MACC recently.

At the same time, Wan Ramli said, MACC has set three years to ensure the country’s critical sectors are free from corruption and misappropriation.

He said, these sectors include public services such as enforcement agencies, security bodies and local authorities and states, government-linked companies (GLC) and private sectors, financial institutions and banks.

“To ensure we achieve this, we focus and emphasize on confiscating all properties and assets from graft.
