SABAK BERNAM, AUG 24: The Parit Baru branch of Selangor Service Department Products Collection and Marketing Centre (Vetmart) was opened as an initiative to place small entrepreneurs’ products, at the grassroot level.

Infrastructure, Public Amenities, Agricultural Modernisation and Agro-Based Industries Exco, Zaidy Abdul Talib said, it is believed to be able to generate income to entrepreneurs of local products.

“The State Government is constantly trying to look for opportunity for local operators to easily sell their products.

“One of them is done by the Veterinary Services Department by renovating an un-used government building and turning it into Vetmart.

“Now, agro-based industrial operators in this village and its surrounding area have the choice to market their products at Vetmart,” he said at the Parit Baru Vetmart Launching Ceremony today.

The Selangor State Veterinary Services Director, Akma Ngah Hamid and Sabak Bernam District Veterinary Services Officer, Nurul Husna Aziz were also present.

It was made to understand that this is the third Vetmart launched after Sungai Nibong and Sijangkang.

Zaidy said, with the opening of this new premise, the community should take advantage of it by getting various local produce from medium and small entrepreneurs.

“I call on the public and community members in this area to support this effort to help local agro-based industry by making Vetmart the preferred place to shop.

“Local entrepreneurs must also be smart to use this opportunity to market their products, at the same time, discuss with operators to market more of their products,” he said.

Before that, Zaidy had signed on the official signboard symbolising that the premise is officially opened.
